I used to watch this show called Diya aur Bati Hum and there was a few episodes that kept talking about "Lasan ni Chutney". I heard it so many times that I started craving it. In one of the episodes the woman mentioned garlic, red chillies and tomato as the ingredients. So I decided to make Lasan ni Chutney/Garlic chutney using these ingredients and it is to die for. Here's how I made it!

Ingredients:
2 tbsp oil
1 bulb of garlic - grated
1 tsp red hot chilli powder
Salt to taste
4/5 tbsp tomato passata
Method
Heat up the oil and add in the grated garlic. Cook this for 1 to 2 minutes on a medium heat until it's soft and the raw smell has gone away. Don't brown the garlic. Then add in the red chilli powder and salt.
Mix this in and cook for around 1 minute. Adjust the chilli powder according to your taste. Then add in the tomato passata and mix well.
Cook until the oil separates from the chutney. Then allow the chutney to cool to room temp.
Store this chutney in the fridge and enjoy with absolutely anything and everything. I love it on pizza and with plain white rice. This can also be served on the side with your Indian meal.
