green coriander chutney recipe dhokla dhokra

Ingredients:

2 green chillies (9g)

2 garlic cloves (8g)

1/2 inch ginger (5g)

Bunch of fresh coriander (leaves and stalks - 60g)

Juice of 1/2 lemon

Salt to taste

1 tsp oil

Water to desired consistency

Method

First you want to wash your green chillies, peel your garlic and ginger and chop them into bite size pieces.

Wash and dry your coriander leaves and stalks and roughly chop them. Add these ingredients into a grinder along with the juice of 1/2 a lemon.

Also add in some salt and oil then grind this into a paste.

Add a little water to help grind this into a paste.

The chutney is now ready. Depending on what im eating I'll adjust the consistency by adding water. I'll add water to a small amount to make it runny for chaat dishes or leave it on the thicker side if spreading in sandwiches. This also goes well mixed in with yogurt for a more cool refreshing flavour. Store this in the fridge to keep fresh or freeze and deforst when needed.
